I am glad to hear that the Cole family is doing well and that things are getting to their new normal. I can’t wait to meet the little man. I know you’ve been wondering what’s been going on here. I have been very, very busy with extremely interesting work.
The other day I came across an article about a man who was arrested for stalking his girlfriend via text message. In the comments section some one referred to wwww.psychoticlettersfrommen.com. I went to the site and came across a reference to “a love story, one man, one dream, one chance”. (full disclosure: This is maybe the most narcissistic, and homo erotic video, I have ever seen. ) It appears that the guy in the video spams people who talk bad about his video. He states to have some link with cancer prevention, and then wishes cancer on you for talking bad about him. Aparently he also states in chat rooms that he got a maybe for a part in the new Captain America movie. psychotic letters indicated that there were a lot of people making fun of the video. I found a fuzzy shrapnel video, of Ballad of a douchebag quadbike. The words are hard to hear so read the lyricsfirst (click on more info). Now I can’t stop singing the song and laughing out loud like a real wierdo.
Michelle and I were involved in a car accident over the memorial day weekend. We were rear ended by a refridgerator truck, and pushed into the car in front of us. My truck was totalled but we walked away virtually unharmed. I had some minor back pain and Michelle got a scratch on her arm.
We looked at a house, and we liked it. We are in talks, but having lost the last three buyers for our condo, and having the other house fall through we are really hesitant to talk about it. So shh.
We went up to cape cod last weekend, and we loved the beach. We thought “God if only you would bless us by letting us have a really special friends, who live near a beach, and have nothing going on for the fourth of July weekend, so that they might invite us over for a holiday weekend.”
We are happy to have Lester, Jen, and Katherine back. Katherine showed us her new trick of drinking from a straw.
Seeing the West coast friends all celebrating Dylan’s arrival, has pulled on Michelle and Denis’ heart strings. We are hopefull that we will be cash strapped very soon. But we want you to know that we miss you all very much.

Denis,
It was good to hear from you. I started to worry that tings may start to get stagnant here on the site. I’ve been keeping the Southern Mid-Atlantic post of AZF2k on track for the past couple of months.
First off, let me say the photos and videos of the newest addition to the Cole family, Dawn and I are excited and happy and can’t wait for everyone to meet again.
Now down to business. I’m BORED. I’ve been out of work since April 3rd. I spend the days watching Gavin, and searching every job site out there for something other than a stay at home dad. The only leads I have had so far have been personal, so in my opinion both Yahoo Hot Jobs, Monster, and Career Builder suck for finding a job. On Yahoo there is a position that shows up every day as ‘new’ for the last 9 months. It’s gotten so bad, it now takes up 5 job postings on my daily email for any engineer position within 90 miles of my location. Yahoo needs to monitor their spam/scam filters better.
Dawn and I traveled out to Moab, Utah back in March to wheel my truck and take in some of the views. On our forth day of the week long trip, I rolled my truck. It pretty much shortened the trip after that point. Everyone is okay, the only thing bruised is my ego.
The kids are doing well. Gavin is running around, getting into everything. We’ve had our shares of close calls. It’s easy to forget what we had to keep Riley out of trouble. Gavin sees Riley doing something, and wants to do it too. Riley is growing up too fast. Her intelligence level is starting to worry me. She can negotiate with anyone. Her solutions for solving problems are mind-numbing. She even picks up on when Dawn and I spell out words to each other. She also has me wrapped around her little finger. It’s hard to resist when she asks ‘please daddy?’
Dawn is a trooper. She still is the breadwinner for the house. I do what I can while I’m around the house, but she picks up the slack. If I have an interview, or a phone call, she is always there making sure I have a quiet room to talk, or daycare when I need to step out of town for a day or two. What can I say, it’s why I married her.
Hopefully we can partake in some activities with you all this summer. Dawn is out in a week, and with nothing but a few irons in the fire, I’ll be available for travel as well. Anyone up for some camping? I also have the pool if anyone wants to visit.

Norm,
That sucks, both on the car front and the job search. I rolled my first car ( wasn’t actually driving, my step dad was teaching my friend to drive and she went into a ditch on a gravel rd) But it was amazing how the world slowed down. My main memory was the oddity of the soccer ball rolling around my head.
We would love to see you this summer, but I hope the job thing works out for you! Give Dawn lots of hugs and squeeze one in for me!

Did you even click on the links?
uh-oh. You got to hit the pavement. Literally, get in some ones face. I find that the interwebs are good for shot gunning your resume into the market place, but not for getting good leads. I have had some headhunter interviews but those seldom work out as well as a personal reference.
The fact that you rolled your truck while out four wheeling, is cool at least cause you were out having fun.
Camping? well that’s a little dry this year, my wingman is in self imposed lockdown. I am actively trying to increase my debt to income ratio, so my weekends are filled with house hunting. I will post anything if we go this summer; but without my truck and Les, I don’t see it happening.

I checked out the links……don’t you worry….
I know things may be tight….if we have to wait until next year, so be it. Remember I have the crew cab long bed….enough room for everyone…..Plus a new roof top tent I’ve been dying to try out.

Maybe we can just come up and go house hunting with you guys….bring a few bottles of wine…it may make it more interesting….

You do have friends who live by the beach and would be thrilled to have you over for the 4th.
Oh wait, I have to work in Monterrey that weekend.
But Monterrey is on the beach….
Yeah, it wouldn’t work but let me dream.
