- for Les, The Fed was purposely created to be indepenent of the three branches of power. A real free market society, YOU CAN’T HANDLE A FREE MARKET SOCIETY. My opinion is that we could very well be at the begining of another Great Depression.

The judicial branch was supposed to be non political too. blew that one. the fed is in it to take care of themselves nothing more. a centralized bank is the biggest reason behind the first American revolution. don’t even wind me up about it. I might go on about agri-business and how we are heading towards the poky lips of Mad Max!

My coworker just lent to me: Secrets of the Temple - How The Federal Reserve Runs the Country by William Greider. It’s copyrighted 1987, so not exactly the most current but Iunderstand it to be very well written. I will report back on how I like it.
