Denis has been losing his mind over some kind of music sharing program. I can’t remember the name of it, but if its name is anything other than Mojo, then it sucks.
Mojo is super sweet. If you have a Mac and use iTunes, download it now! It will securely share your iTunes music library only with people that you give access to, and allows you to download their music. It will even let you know if you already have the song or if it is protected by DFM. The interface is similar to a chat program.
Oh yeah, and it’s free!

The piece of software Denis has been losing his mind over is Simplify Media. I reviewed it last August.
Simplify Media is meant for allowing your friends to stream your music directly in iTunes. It looks like Mojo is a really good application that allows your friends to download your music. Both great apps that serve two different purposes.
I installed Mojo after reading your post. My username is “aaroncole”. A word of warning though; I buy a lot of music from iTunes that you won’t have access to. Yes, I know, DRM=evil, but iTunes is just so damn convenient. I have hope that one day soon, DRM will be history and I will be able to strip it from all my purchased music. (Crosses fingers).

You know you can strip off DRM now, it’s just a pain in the ass to do it. Convert your music to CD then rip the CD to mp3.

DRM doesn’t get in my way until I try to share a file with a friend, which doesn’t happen all that often. So while, I may not agree with the technology I don’t really have a big incentive to jump through hoops to remove it. I’m willing to wait until it’s not illegal to remove AND it’s easy to do so.
Also, a lot of the music sold in the iTunes store is now DRM-free.

Ya know I use what you guys tell me to use. Aaron said that Simplify Media was good. I talked about it, got everyone else on it, except Gideon. Now, he comes forward and says there is a better product. Okay, but I just got everyone else to share using the other one. I share a lot of music with other people. Most of my stuff is DRM free. like 98%.
I got close to 100 gigs of music and will happily share what I have with others as long as they share what is DRM free and I don’t have with me. : )
