Since Denis is asking for an update I’ll bite….
Dawn and I just got back from a weeklong vacation with Page & Johnny. It was a blast and we all had a good time. I really enjoyed spending some quality time with Riley:

We drank a lot. Played some cards while the kids slept, and got beaten up by the waves on the Delaware shore. Clark (john’s baby boy) is getting big. He looks just like him, freckles and all. Riley and Clark got along great and had lots of fun in the sand and water.
I love my wife more than ever. I wonder why I don’t say that more often. Hopefully by me putting this here will remind me to say it more often.
My younger sister Christie, is heading back (yes back) to Iraq for her second tour as a field medic. She leaves on Sept. 11. Go Figure?
Work Sucks. Plain and simple. I used to like coming into work, when I had someone I enjoyed working for…..
Is there any hope of us coming up towards the northeast anytime soon, nothing in the forcast. Dawn and I want to hang out over Christmas here, so maybe we could swing thanksgiving. Plus we still have the wedding gift for Lester and Jen….
Maybe you should all come down here? I have the room…..

Did Johnny rub sun block all over your chest?
Thanksgiving sounds probable.

I’m thinking we could totally do Thanksgiving, unless brother mother wants family only, plus we have the whole weekend to eat some leftover pie…..

Denis and I usually host thanksgiving so Helen dosen’t have to do two big dinners. So we can definitely do that if you guys want to come up. Aaron and Dawn should come out too!!!
You know, it has been awesome having Lester and Jen here for the last couple of days but it does make it even more obvious that not everyone is here…. yet! Although we are having loads of fun we still want you CA people to know that we still miss you (even if you decide that you don’t have the energy to answer our drunk dials at 11pm) and that we are thinking of you.

Neel, you and your two wives are welcome to come for thanksgiving. We would love to have y’all come join us. Shoot, You don’t need to ask, you can assume that our door is open to all who post here. Family don’t need invitations.

I would love to see everyone at Thanksgiving. I should have a good size belly by then. I would like to meet Norm and the family eventually. Neel, when you finally get to the Hartford area, we’ll make sure you have a set of keys for the new apartment. The door is still always open if you need it.
The Jeep arrived today. It was exciting seeing it here. Just another sign that we really live here and are not just on vacation. We have a pending application on an apartment. We’ll find out by Monday. We’ll give more details when we officially get it. Love to all!

We’d be stoked to come visit sometimes soon. I think we should drag Harry & Hemal up too, but never know who he’ll bring along.
Meghan and I are going up to San Fran on Wed, and we’ll see Aaron and Dawn. It will a bit quieter without you all!

Michelle told me yesterday upon my arrival at home, that Dawn broke her heart by saying that Aaron and her were making new friends. I know as I get older making new friends gets harder all the time. So I just put a spin on it to make it seem better for Michelle.
I said, “that just means that they will bring more people with them when the move to the North East in three years”.
But it does sting when we’re all sitting around and the crew is not complete.
Join the cult. c’mon, everyones doing it.

Thanks Aaron. I was very sad.
We spent an awesome weekend on Cockenoe Island off of Westport. Ten of us kayaked and canoed to the island, and Denis and Patrick were brave enough to make another trip back to shore to pick up the firewood that we didn’t find a place for on the first trip. The campsite faced a beautiful cove with egrets and crabs, mussels and clams. Lots of sunshine and some floaty devices added to the fun.

LA-San Fran-London-Cambridge-Atlanta-Utah-LA.
16 days in all. I wish I was camping instead.
