Wow, I didn’t realize that guilt worked so well on Lester. I got a phone call within a half and hour of my post. Don’t worry Lester, I love you even when you ignore me for weeks on end!! (If you weren’t already moving back east, you might have to make it up to me though, so don’t make it a habit)
Hi all! I’m sorry we haven’t kept ya’ll better updated. It has been more stressful and chaotic than anticipated. Everything is not solidified yet. As soon as they are, we will let you know any details. Please be patient with us. Once we get back east, we have to scramble to find an apartment before the movers arrive or pay more money. I just don’t understand how people can commit to an apartment without physically seeing it and the neighborhood. maybe I’m more sensitive because this is where we will be living when the kid is born. Sorry about the meowing. Give me thirty seconds and my mood will change. Oh, how I love being pregnant!
Sorry Aaron and Dawn!! It’s official. Plane tickets are purchased. We leave SFO on Sunday, 8/12 at 7am and arrive in White Plains (HPN)at 5:36pm local time, hopefully in time for Maggie’s party. That’s all for now.
I know you guys are going to be really busy finding an apartment before your stuff gets here but if you don’t have anything going on Saturday to Sunday the 18th/19th we are kayaking out to a little island off of westport to camp for the night. As always, it would be great to have you along.
We would like to, and have given it some serious thought, but we decided a place to live is a priority.
So what is going on in September?
October in VT?
Just some thoughts.
Molly Stark is beautiful in October and it is right outside wilmington, so if the weather sucks we can always go into town for Steak and beer. September needs to be close by and I may not be much prep help as September is crazy with work. We could do Waramog again or some orienteering if Jen is up for it.
I’m trying to get Meghan to do an October vaction with me… 2 weeks in Wisconsin, 2 weeks in Montreal, 2 weeks in New York. Peer pressure would help here…
I think I hear Molly Stark calling. Depending on what we feel like we could camp at the state park or maybe go into town and stay at a bed and breakfast. Watching the leaves turn is awesome and well it’s fairly close to hartford. Dink it ova.
I love orienteering, so we’ll see how I feel when we get closer. It will be my first east coast fall so I must see leaves.
On a better note, the movers are here right now as I type!! I’m so excited. We’re moving!! Hiring movers is sooooooooo the way to go. Lester and Aaron are still making a run to our storage unit. (It saves us hundreds of dollars if we bring the stuff here.) That’s all for now. See all the new faces in a few days!
Megan, I know a great little B&B with its own whirlpool tub in Vermont. We could camp one night and B&B the second. Do some hiking, see a little foliage. Hmmm
I just wish Aaron and Dawn were here too:(
And then ofcourse there are nights out in the city
Happy Belated Birthday Lester. I hope you and Jen have a great move. Let me know what Zeitgeist withdrawal feels like. Michell, I’m saving up for a down payment right now. Should be the most expensive date ever…

Whhoooo! Congrats, I’m sure there’s plenty of people to help you but remember you’re right up the street from Uncle Jim! We can’t wait to come visit!
Perhaps unrelated… but was Monday Lester’s birthday or did Meghan and I totally get that wrong….

Happy Birthday Lester!
Congrat’s on your move! Arriving just two days late for our couples’ dinner in Manhattan. Soon enough though :-)
Are you guys coming to camp in the LI Sound with us?

Neel,
Tell Joel that we have a condo to sell him next spring. We will give him a great price and there is a cute upstairs neighbor to boot!!
