EC camping schedule: who’s in?

Denis and I put together a tentative camping schedule for the summer and want to feel out  who would want to go so we know how many sites to reserve.

May 5th-  Cinco de Drinco, it actually falls on a Saturday this year, should be fun.

May 26th Daytrip- kayaking and Canoing in a local lake.  We can rent extras if we need them.

July 1st through 5th long but hectic weekend-  we could do a trip to the Adirondacks or BBQ locally

July 20th through 22nd or 27th through 29th camp out at lake Waramug and participate in orienteering play in the morning.  The other weekend we could go play at the beach in Long Island and see Tobi and Barry’s new place.

August 3rd through 5th- Little Pond

August 18-19th kayak and camp out on the cocknoe islands off of Westport CT.

We would love to hear any other thoughts and who is interested in what so we can try to book sites before things get too busy.

Of course there has to be room for afternoons of frozen daiquiri’s and days by the pool.  Summer is on the way. Yahoo…

I vote nay on the return to Cali, and move to dismiss the topic. All in favor shall remain silent, all opposed are required to file formal protest to my email address.

Count me in for all that… July 27-29th at our place for beach fun is perfect since the 31st is my THIRTIETH BIRTHDAY!

We are planning a trip to visit Cali some time this summer. Not sure what the exact dates are, but there might be overlap with some of the trips. I’ll let you know what we book. Anyone want to go up to Wine Country or camp out in the Redwoods with us (me, Barry, his awesome brother Larry and girlfriend Amanda) while we’re there?

Also, is Marissa in Austin? I’m going to be there in the middle of June :-)

Awesome, I will count you and Barry in when scheduling. Yes Marisa is in Austin. Unfortunately her phone is out of service. I will email you her email address and you can try her that way.

Denis and I hiked a11.2 mile section of the AT this weekend that thoroughly kicked both of our asses. It involved climbing three peaks and a lot of rocky trail. Beautiful and worth the effort though my calves, ankles and knees are still complaining. The Housatonic river was rippin with all of the rain we had last week, I will try to post the little video I shot. The last two miles, all Denis could talk about was wanting a steak so after we soaked our legs in the brook back at camp we drove the two miles back into Kent, CT and ordered two filet mignon’s with bearnaise, mashers and green beans along with a pitcher of water. Then back to camp to read, enjoy the sun and an awesome fire until we couldn’t stay awake anymore.

It was great. I look forward to the next. BTW Tobi, for our 30th birthday port I heard we should find a vintage bottle from 1994, the year scored a 96 out of 100. Or we can find an awesome old bottle of wine.
