Apple Computer Sale at Stanford

If anyone* is interested in getting a sweet Apple desktop at a screaming deal, let me know.

The Stanford Bookstore is currently selling PowerMac G5s (single-processor models) bundled with a 17″ monitor starting with the 1.6GHz for $999. They also have G4s with a monitor for $899.

Update: The single-processor units are sold out now. (That was quick). There are two dual-processor bundles left.

  1. PowerMac G5 - 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 160 GB HD, Superdrive, NVIDIA GEForceFX 52000 w/64MB, 17″ Studio Display - $1549
  2. PowerMac G5 - 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 160 GB HD, Superdrive, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro w/ 64MB, 17″ Studio Display - $1620

If I was in the market for a desktop right now, you wouldn’t be seeing this post, because I’d be figuring out how to lug a G5 home on my bike.

This offer will only be good while supplies last and they usually limit purchases in these sales to one per staff member.

    damn it!! i just bought a powerbook 15″ 1.25 ghz 6 months ago, that is a smoking deal on g5’s.

    Could you have gootten me a deal on a powerbook? Never mind i don’t want to know :)

    The killer Apple deals at the bookstore are usually in the Summer.

    I swiched to a Mac a year and a half ago. I wanted a laptop and Apple laptops are the best.

    I’ll never go back.

    yeah, i saw the ultrasound pics , so unless he got someone to do the dirty work for him…….

    Aaron what laptop do you have? i am proud to say i have never owned a windows machine, i even won a pc once and i gave it away on principle.

    i am good , still in Maine tearing down a nuke plant. in fact we just blew up the dome on friday.
